The Casablanca headquarters of a global consulting firm: the language of coworking, the highest international standards and subtle touches of Moroccan craftsmanship. LEED Platinum certified: to our knowledge, the first office in Africa to reach this level.
On the 7th floor of the CFC Bridge tower, in the Anfa business district, McKinsey & Company, the American international consulting firm, chose to set up its Casablanca headquarters. Having won the tender, in partnership with Atelier Mawlawi, we started from a 904 m² shell floor to design and fit out every space.
The brief: open-plan areas with a library corner, partners' offices, focus rooms, small and large meeting rooms, a creative space, an in-house restaurant and a terrace with exceptional views over Anfa and Casablanca.
A consulting firm works in teams, on the move, to the rhythm of client engagements. To support this, we borrowed the vocabulary of coworking: an open, flexible space, informal places to meet, acoustic booths for focused calls, and meeting rooms of every size.
Everything was designed and delivered to the firm's highest international standards. Subtle touches of Moroccan craftsmanship, in zellige tilework and hand-carved plaster, root the place in Casablanca without breaking its restrained, contemporary character.
LEED certification is awarded by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) on a 110-point scale. Beyond the level achieved, the detailed scorecard shows where the performance lies: full marks for energy performance optimisation (25/25) and for indoor water use reduction (12/12).
Optimize energy performance 25/25, renewable energy production 3/3, advanced energy metering 2/2, green power and carbon offsets 2/2, enhanced refrigerant management 1/1.
Indoor water use reduction: maximum score.

A dark stone counter, a timber-slat ceiling and boldly coloured furniture: the reception sets the tone for a demanding yet welcoming workplace. Acoustic booths extend the space for confidential calls.
Workstations line the glazed façades, on carpet islands that define zones without partitions. Exposed concrete walls and visible services embrace a contemporary, understated aesthetic.
This choice echoes the LEED scorecard: daylight and quality views are among the credits achieved.
Large shared tables, low seating, an acoustic booth and a colourful mural: a space designed for teamwork and informal moments, complementing the meeting rooms.
Fully equipped meeting rooms, an in-house restaurant, a terrace overlooking Anfa and the city, and a dedicated room for new mothers: the programme supports the whole working day.
